I’m a photographer, but during my session with your little legends, I’m really there to play!
This is not the usual kindy photo day.
There’ll be no stool in front of a backdrop, no forced smile and no “say cheese” while a queue builds behind your child. Instead, I’ll spend one-on-one time with every child, with games, silliness, and lots of giggles, and the photos happen along the way. I get to know your child, and that’s how I capture the real them: the cheeky grin, the quirky little habits, the way they look when they’re completely at ease.
This year I’m offering something special – A mini family session…just for your child.
This is the kind of session my family clients book with me, brought to Mary Rice and made easy. Each child gets their own session, and I’ll create a gallery of 10+ beautiful images that show who they really are right now in these fleeting days at kindy, because they really do change so fast. You’ll choose your favourites from the gallery, and your $35 registration covers your first digital image.

Quality products you won't get anywhere else!
Families who register can also order from a select range of my professionally printed products and artworks, like my beautiful acrylic blocks, and framed canvas prints. These are hand crafted by my dedicated Brisbane professional lab, and normally reserved for my full-session clients. You won’t find them at a standard kindy photo day and these products are not available to buy from usual retail outlets. Digital files will also be available.

Frequently Asked Questions
Registering costs $35 per child. This secures your child’s play-based photo session, and the $35 is credited toward your order, so you can spend it on any of my digital or printed product options.
The first digital image is $35, so your registration credit covers one image in full. If you’d like more than one, digital bundles of more images will be available at discounted prices when your gallery opens, so you can choose the option that suits your family.
The staff at Mary Rice ELC are managing the photo schedule to best suit the days each child is at kindy. Look out for an email from them before Monday 26th October confirming your child’s day.
Please send your child to kindy in the clothes you’d like them to wear to the shoot. It’s up to you if you’d like them to be in something to represent their usual daycare outfit, or perhaps come in something a little smarter to make them feel special for their photo experience. Feel free to send a second outfit, although this will only be used if the first outfit gets very dirty before our shoot.
Not this time. It’s a special experience just for your child. I don’t schedule exact times but always have an educator with me to assist, so there’s no need to plan to be there. If you are interested in a full family session please contact me at info@fotofox.com.au
All of the photos on this page are great examples! These are play-based sessions, (with some gentle prompts and direction from me!) They will show your child as they really are. We’ll do our best to keep faces and noses clean and hair neat, but I also love to embrace the unexpected, adorable moments that make this age so special.
Yes! All siblings at Mary Rice who are registered will be photographed in a session together. They will each have individual images taken, as well as photos together with their sibling/s while they play.
Every child’s private gallery will have 10+ professionally edited images to choose from. Your $35 registration credit can be spent on any of my digital or printed product options, and it covers one digital image in full. If you’d like more, digital image packages will be available, and the more you choose, the lower the price per image. You can also order from my select range of premium printed products. Full ordering details and pricing will be available when your gallery is ready.
I’ll aim to photograph them on another day that week if I can. Just let the centre know and we will do our best to reschedule you. If this is not possible, you will receive a full refund.
No problem. It’s all play, with no pressure and I have plenty of tricks up my sleeve to relax your child so their little personality shines through, or we’ll come back to them later when they are feeling more in the mood.
Of course! Reshoots requested by parents are booked as a new session, so a further $35 registration fee applies.
I do have a current blue card. I also have extensive experience photographing and interacting with children of all ages. Sessions with me are always fun and relaxed. The example photos you’ll see on my website are a good testament to that!
I will be aiming for a 3 week turnaround after I complete my last session at the centre. I currently expect this to be no later than 20th November, but is subkect to change.
You will have your own private gallery and unique link. You are welcome to share this gallery link with your own family or friends so they can view or order also. No one else can find or see your gallery.
Yes! Products ordered by the cutoff date (expected to be Friday 27th November) will be delivered to the centre for you to collect by Monday 14th December.
